Educational Psychologist

  • 3 days per week, term time only (+ 3 weeks used flexibly throughout the year)

Speech and Language UK’s Bill Harrison Assessment Service is an Independent Assessment Service based on the site of Meath School. The multi-disciplinary team includes specialist teachers, speech and language therapists, an occupational therapist and an educational psychologist.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Educational Psychologist who enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team to assess the educational needs of children with SEND.

You will have considerable post qualification experience as well as experience working in an educational setting. A good knowledge of the range of specialist educational provisions in Surrey and the surrounding counties would be a distinct advantage. You will be passionate about helping school aged children with special needs reach their potential.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a great professional community and the opportunity to support children and their families in understanding their needs and accessing the relevant educational support.

The assessment centre has two well stocked playrooms and dedicated office space. The team benefit from administrative and clerical support as well as time from an intern (usually a psychology or linguistics student).

The assessment centre is open term time only.

You must hold a Psychology degree (or BPS equivalent); professional qualification in Educational Psychologist (doctorate, masters or equivalent); and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

For an informal discussion please contact Kayleigh Turner, Assessment Centre Manager on 01932 872302 or email [email protected]
