The Occupational Therapy department has access to a variety of programmes and equipment, such as specialist seating and slope boards, to help pupils access the curriculum. We look at remediating functional barriers to a child’s learning across all fine and gross motor skills e.g. attention control, pencil grip, posture.
Sensory integration is pervasive to their work, and many children use the Sensory Integration room and/or have ‘sensory diet’ programmes for inside classrooms. All staff work alongside the Occupational Therapy team and so are highly trained.
