Links within our local and wider community

Meath School is a full and active member of the local confederation of Surrey schools; good links have been developed with 10 local primary schools and a secondary school as part of the Runnymede South Confederation of Schools, and some Meath School pupils are included in these schools for specific activities.  We also invite mainstream pupils to join us once a term for themed ‘Learning Together’ days. We offer in-reach opportunities to local SEN learners where we can.

Residential pupils are involved in a range of local community activities and make good use of neighbouring shops and facilities.  The local community is invited to the school for celebrations and events throughout the year.  Meath strives to make a difference in our local community.

The I CAN Meath Centre has an independent speech and language assessment service team which can provide a holistic assessment for families and is also involved in giving outreach support to individual children within Local Authority schools.  We deliver professional and parent training, and offer work-shadow/placement opportunities for external staff to enable them to meet the needs of specific pupils.
